Sector Skills Councils are expert and consulting bodies formed as a partnership; their basic function is to define the needs for qualifications on the Republic of Serbia labour market.
Sector Skills Councils are expert and consulting bodies formed as a partnership; their basic function is to define the needs for qualifications on the Republic of Serbia labour market.
The responsibilities of Sector Skills Councils are implemented through the following duties:
- analysing existing and assessing the necessary qualifications within the particular sector
- identifies which qualification should be modernised
- identifying the qualifications that no longer meet the needs of the sector
- drafting the qualification standards within the sector
- providing an opinion on the expected learning outcomes and skills within the sector;
- promoting dialogue and immediate cooperation between the field of labour and the field of education;
- promoting opportunities for education, training and employment within the sector;
- identifies opportunities for adult education within the sector;
- considering the implications of the National Qualifications Framework on qualifications within the sector;
- proposing the list of qualifications by levels and types that can be acquired by recognition of previous learning
- promoting potentials for employment, vocational education and training within sector;
- deliberating the implications of NQF on qualifications within sector.
